About Me
Hi! I'm Amy Jo Lauber and I'm a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional and the president of Lauber Financial Planning; my practice that I started in the summer of 2010 after having been in financial services for 17 years.
What I do
I provide professional financial planning, analysis, coaching and advice on a fee-only basis (hourly, project-based, and annual retainer). I specialize in comprehensive planning, using a holistic approach. I've found that this method provides the client with the most encompassing analysis and helps determine if the various pieces of a client's financial life are working together or against one another.
Financial planning involves six steps: (1) establishing the relationship and scope of engagement (2) gathering data (3) analyzing the data (4) creating & presenting recommendations (5) implementing the recommendations and (6) monitoring your plan.
I do not sell any investment or insurance products but, if they are needed to implement your financial plan, I can refer you to professionals who will be able to help you.
Why I do it
I got into the financial services industry in 1993 because (1) I wanted to help people and (2) I'm fascinated by what people do with their money, and why. I'm a student of behavioral finance and neuroeconomics and I study religion and theology as a hobby. I've come to a point in my life that I want to help people align their beliefs, values, and behaviors with their financial goals, resources, and actions.
Who I work with
I work best with people who are comfortable talking about their values, their true goals, as well as their obstacles. The more I know about you, the better and more customized my advice will be, and the more you will ultimately benefit from it.
