recycled rubber. Products include traffic safety products, traffic calming devices,

development. Her major job emphasis is on the education of the community and
sales force/distributors of eco-friendly/green initiatives and developing
sustainable initiatives utilizing RubberForm Recycled products.

Perinatal Clinical Specialist
Work collaboratively with Account Managers selling the Perinatal Product
line through out the Northeast region. Primary emphasis is education of registered
nurses and physicians in labor and birth, OB practice and design trends. Conduct
presentations at national and regional conferences. Presently employed per diem;
travel through-out the US and Canada educating OB staff about equipment and
positioning for labor and birth.

Responsible for the management, development and evaluation of the services provided by the Parent/Childbirth Education department both inpatient and outpatient antenatal and post partum stages. Work collaboratively with the hospital units, ambulatory services, community and marketing to develop programs to meet our client’s needs throughout the pregnancy/newborn continuum.Instituted new educational programs such as Multiples Preparation, Yoga in Pregnancy, Infant Massage and Natural Childbirth a Holistic Approach. Liaison for High-Risk families who will have their birth at BWH and baby will be transferred to Children’s Hospital for surgery. Responsible for collaboration with marketing for written and web based patient education materials. Assisted in the establishment of Isis Maternity a place for expectant and new mother’s and their families.

Responsible for over 150 FTE’s and annual operating budget of $10 million.
The scope of responsibility includes professional nursing practice, fiscal
accountabilities, human resource management, educational and program
development, research and continuous quality improvement.
Accomplishments include: coordination of the first fetal surgery and exit
procedure in New England, installation of fetal surveillance and archival system,
institution of numerous cost-saving initiatives.

Senior Perinatal Consultant for a major manufacturer of patient care systems. Traveled extensively throughout the Northeast region serving as the primary consultant to the Account Manager with the Maternal-Infant product line. Collaboratively managed accounts. Consulted with healthcare personnel,
administrators and architects in the planning, implementation and design of perinatal units with a major focus on Family Centered Maternity and Newborn Intensive Care. Created and conducted educational presentations relating to maternal-infant care/trends, equipment planning and obstetrical data management information systems (WatchChild). Assisted fifty facilities in transitioning to LDR/P. Served as a clinical design consultant on new product development. Lectured at regional and national nursing/healthcare conferences.

Risk Management Consultant for a major insurer of medical malpractice coverage. Traveled throughout N.E. conducting risk management surveys of hospitals. Assisted clinical departments to identify and resolve loss control problems. Interacted with senior management, medical and nursing staffs, and various other hospital personnel developing, implementing and evaluating quality assurance and risk management problems.

Nurse-in-Charge for one of the largest high-risk labor and delivery units in the U.S. Responsible for the effective management of the unit. Created the quality assurance and risk management programs within the labor and delivery unit. Created and chaired committees addressing perinatal bereavement and problem solving within the O/G/N departments. Participated in various hospital wide committees. Created and edited The Stork Exchange, the L&D newsletter. Responsible for monitoring the quality of nursing care for labor and delivery patients, staff development, maintaining and creating policies, procedures and standards of nursing practice.
