    Patricia Mahone, RN, MAc, LAc.

Diplomate in Acupuncture (NCCAOM ). Lic. No. 003514-1

Patricia has come to believe that each of us is unique in our experience of and response to both health and illness. She also believes the body, mind and spirit as a unit, has the innate ability to heal itself… to regain and maintain its original state of balance and harmony. Through the Art of Acupuncture she awakens the Chi’s memory of this balance and supports its movement toward it.

Patricia has been active in health care for over forty years. As a registered nurse she worked extensively in hospital, outpatient and home care settings. She received a BA in Sociology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. In 1985, she began the study of Acupuncture at the Traditional Acupuncture Institute in Columbia, Maryland. In 1988, she received her Masters Degree in Acupuncture, and since then has maintained an active practice in Maryland. From 1989 to 1997 she also held a faculty position at the Traditional Acupuncture Institute teaching and managing the Student-Faculty Clinic. In 2007, her life journey led her to Western New York to continue her life long study of the art she practices, and establish a local practice, Gate of Life. In addition, she is presently Director of Student Services and Course Leader for Ethics, Health and Safety at the newly established Ongiara College of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Ontario, Canada.
